When I try to download from the Adblock site, I get an error message that says it can’t be downloaded because it is corrupt. I’ll temporally will not download or install anything with Firefox. As soon as Firefox fixed this problem I’ll put it back to “true”. Set “true” to “false” (just doubleclick on it) and all extensions are back. Update (May 5th, 6pm CEST): It seems the fix from Firefox is not working for all. If you still have issues with Adblock Plus on Firefox, post a comment or reach out to us on Twitter. Update (May 4th, 10pm CEST): At about 4:15 CEST Firefox started to deploy an update that fixed the issue with the expired certificate, so by now all your add-ons should function again. You can also follow Firefox on Twitter to stay updated. We will soon be able to block all that for you again!įor technical details on the issue, check Mozillas Bug Report. So in the meantime, stay strong when faced with a pop-up, a screaming flash-ad or an annoying banner while you browse the web.
There is nothing you can or need to do, other than wait for Firefox to update, which will most likely happen automatically. But we have absolute confidence in the open source community behind Firefox to get this fixed as soon as possible! With Adblock Plus being one of the favorite add-ons for users world-wide, this hits us hard. Since late Friday night, an expired certificate caused all add-ons on Firefox to be disabled. Adblock Plus and (a little) more Firefox bug disabled all add-ons - including Adblock Plus
